You may well be familiar with Ulead software if you've ever bought a scanner, digital camera or other piece of hardware dealing with images. Along with its commercial offerings Ulead has a few free goodies to download from its site including this one: FantasyWarp.

You have to register with the site before you can download anything. It is simple enough, just enter your e-mail, name and so on and click on the confirmation link in the confirmation e-mail and you are away.

FantasyWarp is a Photoshop-compatible plug-in, so you'll need a graphics package which can handle such things. Paint Shop Pro is the obvious choice. Once installed, you can start playing with the kaleidoscopic effects on offer. Each effect is generated by a template and you can add your own. The effects follow a similar pattern, your original image is repeated and distorted. It can even create an animation of the effect being applied. It is all good clean fun and you can't have too many whacky plug-ins.
