We don't always need a full-blown word processor to edit a text file, but Notepad leaves a little to be desired and WordPad isn't a lot better. MDINotepad fills the void offering much needed multiple and large document support. It also boasts bookmarks, highlights, a customisable toolbar and function keys, full search and replace, clone window, insert file and more. You can also hit Ctrl-S to save a document at last. It's a neat upgrade to Notepad and comes completely free. Like any nicely behaved Windows utility it makes no modifications to your Windows directory, you just pop the folder where you will and run the executable.
